„Rabbis for human right“ https://www.rhr.org.il/eng ist eine israelische Rabbinervereinigung, die sich aktiv für Frieden, Versöhnung und Gerechtigkeit einsetzt, sowohl durch direkte gewaltfreie Solidaritätsaktionen als auch durch theologische Reflektion. Es geht ihnen um einen jüdischen Staat mit jüdischen Werten, Werten die aus Talmud und TNK für jüdisches Leben vorgegeben sind. Es gibt ihre Texte bislang nur auf Englisch, es ist von ihrer Art die Texte der Tradition zu interpretieren, einiges auch für uns zu lernen:

A remarkable teaching in the Babylonian Talmud (Nedarim 20a) reads: a person who has no shame, such a person’s ancestors did not stand at Sinai. I don’t read this as genealogical research, but as ethical teaching. To be heirs of those who stood at Sinai, to stand ourselves at the foot of the mountain, means not only to affirm identity. It means to take responsibility. Acts of senseless violence perpetrated in the name of Judaism are acts of desecration, to be decried and resisted, not enabled and tolerated. As the Shavuot Holiday approaches, many organizations and individuals are busy planning gestures of Tikkun, of repair, in addition to traditional all-night study sessions. In the weeks and months to come, Jews and Arabs will have to stand together at the foot of the mountain, if we are not to find ourselves perched perpetually at the edge of a volcano. Wherever you are, wherever your passions and commitments lie, I encourage you to find at least one project promoting repair, and commit to it.
